The Pattern was not written correctly and in all fairness the selelr did try and help, the instructions to make the eyes needs a lot of work. I have subsequently repurchased the pattern else where.
Warning: the pattern had a note admitting part of the instructions was missing and had been filled in with guesswork, worded in a way that strongly suggested AI was used, possibly on an already-incomplete design that wasn't the seller's own. I asked the seller about this; they resent the PDF with that note removed but never addressed my concerns regarding stolen pattern and AI usage. They'd also messaged me right after purchase offering a free pattern for a positive review, which added to the fact that it felt shady. As for the pattern itself: working through the stitch counts, the body as written does not come out the same shape as in the photos. Also the product photos don't match each other, and at least one is clearly AI-generated (typical AI inconsistencies in pattern etc). (At least no problems to get refund)

This is a beautiful pattern. I’m part way through making the Octopus and I can already tell that it will be stunning when it’s finished. The pattern is aimed at intermediate crocheters and as a relative novice there were a few stitches I hadn’t come across before but the pattern explained them brilliantly. I did the bubble stitch as explained on the pattern and then double checked it using a YouTube video and it was spot on. Can’t wait to finish this and I know the students at my school will love it.
