Julia's patterns are really more than patterns. They are proper crochet lessons. I bought this one specifically to learn how she makes those pretty feathery shapes that add so much movement and texture to her designs. Halfway in and I'm getting it, plus a bunch of other new stitch combos and effects to adapt for my own designs. Don't be intimidated by the intricate-looking results; if you've mastered SC and DC, you can level up with this. The pics and breakdowns are SO detailed and specific, with illustrated insets for any stitch more advanced than DC. With all the AI slop gumming up my etsy feed these days-- especially crochet "patterns"-- I'm glad to support this shop, which is real work by a real(ly talented) person. I will check back often for new designs. I also dig the geeky elven-sounding names for each design. So apt.

I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to accomplish this pattern; it's definitely the most complex thing I've ever attempted. But I found the pattern clear and easy to follow (the photo tutorial was great) and my Elemyst Pouch turned out fantastic. Highly recommend this pattern.

I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who isn’t well versed in identifying what stitches look like as it’s a lot of similar stitches stacked against each other but it comes out beautiful. Also as an edit for having finally finished the pattern now, there is a few typos (using sc and dc interchangeably in the same round instructions) and math issues (previous round finishes with less stitches needed for the next round with no increases in next round). If you’re more experienced, you can figure out what stitch is needed by the picture and fudge the math to make it work still and it still comes out to be a very pretty bag 🫶

I adore this pattern designer! I’ve made many of her patterns already and this pouch is absolutely stunning! The pattern was easy to follow & I’m already looking forward to making another in a different color. In this pic I have not blocked or put beads at the end of the drawstrings, I’m considering different options at the moment.
This was the most daunting pattern I've approached thus far but it was waaayyy easier than I thought! It's still an intermediate project, don't use this as a first project.

This is a rather complex pattern but easy to follow with the pictured instructions. Would recommend this for experienced crotcheters as it requires a lot of different stitches :)
