This bag was such fun to make! It was also a quick and easy make. It's such a cool design, kind of like a Japanese knot bag, but I love that it's made in the round. It's a terrific size for a project bag. My first one was made in recycled Sari silk. The one I'm making next is a worsted weight cotton.

Good pattern. I’m a beginner to crochet and it was easy to follow but I didn’t like the handle when I finished. I took it apart and am going to change the handle.

The pattern is VERY minimal. The bag turned out cute, but needed work to get there. If I was going to make it all over again, I would use a different yarn than the one recommended in the pattern. The yarn is too soft to make a structured bag like in the picture. In the picture the bag is stuffed with things to give it a shape (I know because I asked the seller how they got it so sturdy looking). You'll need to either use a different yarn, add a lining, and/or add starch I help it hold any sort of shape. I added a few extra rows to help the handle be more thick and sturdy and I added a lining which helped a lot.

I used double yarn for more structure and a 5mm hook. I liked the simplicity of the pattern as it was easy to adapt the height of the bag and width of handle. Might try more versions using different kinds of yarn.
I made several of these with regular yarn and not tape yarn, and they turned out very lovely! The only issue I have is that the pattern says there is a video tutorial, which I would've absolutely used, but the only video is how to weave in your yarn at the end. I do like the spreading out of the increases so that there isn't a "seam" on the bag--I've never seen that before. It took some getting used to, but I fell in love with it.

Easy to follow and make. I used the indicated tape yarn, single, and the bag turned out smaller than expected. Maybe it was my tension. Planning to make more. It was an easy and enjoyable pattern.
